His Game of Thrones fan art captured the hearts of the fandom, particularly through the Valar Morghulis series, where he reimagined fallen characters as part of the Night King’s army. Altınöz’s journey from fan artist to an official illustrator of George R.R. Martin’s world was solidified when he contributed twenty-one illustrations—and the official cover—to The Rise of the Dragon, a fully illustrated history of House Targaryen.
